Let's vote! - AMIGA/040th Anniversary

Hi Amiga Community,

It’s here, the voting phase for the Awards event at the AMIGA/040th is starting now. What are we voting for? We are presenting 10 categories for awards to be presented at the AMIGA/040th in Mountain View, CA, on August 1st. Our categories cover games, productivity, hardware, and Amiga demos. With tens of thousands of possible entries across those broad categories, narrowing them down to just a handful of choices was hard work. We appreciate the community jumping in to help with the nomination process. It was great to see so many folks submit their favorites.

As with the nomination, the voting is done via a Google form. We ask one vote per person. We reserve the right to reject any votes for any reason. The form allows multiple visits, so don’t think you need to answer everything in one shot. There is so much cool stuff that it would be hard to select something in every category right off the bat anyway.

To make it easier to track down what to vote for, we have put all the entries with a link to something about that entry below. If a link is wrong or a better one is available to represent the entry, drop a note in the comments!

Best game: The Commodore OCS/ECS era (Games released for OCS or ECS machines A1000 to A600)

Best game: The Commodore AGA era (Games released for AGA machines A1200 to CD32 )

Best game: Modern 68K or WarpOS games (after the fall of Commodore, and for classic Amigas, RTG systems, PPC systems, or emulation)

Best game: NG Game (released for AROS, MorphOS, and AmigaOS 4)

Best Art program

Best Music/Audio Creation program

Best Productivity App

Best Utility/Educational App

Best Modern Amiga System – Amiga system built after C=

Coolest Zorro card

Best Demo – OCS systems

Best Demo – AGA systems
